Step by step

How To Rotate a PDF

Turn pages upright and make the change stick — whole documents with one click, single sheets one by one, saved into a new file.

  1. 1

    Upload your PDF

Drop in a document and every page appears as a large thumbnail — the zoom starts at 400% so one sheet fills the view. Files are deleted after 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Turn the pages

Choose a scope — All pages, Only odd, Only even — then press ↺ or ↻ to turn every page in it one step at a time. To fix a single sheet, hover its card and use the little ↺ / ↻ buttons there (or just tap the card itself to turn it right). Turned pages wear a soft wash, so nothing slips by; four clicks bring a page back around.

The Rotate screen: All pages, Only odd and Only even scopes with the two turn buttons and Reset above the thumbnails — page 1 upright beside page 2 turned on its wash A page card on hover: the Enlarge, rotate-left and rotate-right buttons in a joined pill above the turned sheet, which already shows the page on its side
  3. 3

    Save the file

Press Apply changes and a new PDF is written with the turns built in — every page opens in its new orientation everywhere. Reset above the pages clears the turns before you run.

  • Turn everything at once

Scope to All pages, Only odd or Only even and one click turns them all one step.

  • Fix single sheets

Every card carries its own ↺ / ↻ buttons — click until the page reads right.

  • One click, one quarter turn

Each press is 90°; four bring a page back around to where it started.

  • See what is turned

A soft wash marks every turned page, and the sheet on its card shows the new angle.

  • Enlarge any page

The magnifier opens the sheet big, turned the way its card is turned.

  • Private by default

No account, no watermark — and every file is automatically deleted after 2 hours.

Rotate — frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only some pages?

Yes — turn single cards, or use the scope choices (all pages, only odd, only even). Rotation is written into the file itself, so it holds in every viewer and when printing.

Is Rotate free?

Yes — Rotate is free right here in your browser, with no watermark and no sign-up. Every tool on the site works the same way.

Do I need an account to use Rotate?

No. Accounts are optional — they keep your credits, API keys and settings together. The tools work signed-out.

What happens to my file?

Every upload is stored under an unguessable id and deleted automatically after 2 hours. Nothing is listed, shared or emailed anywhere.

Can I run Rotate from the API?

Yes — every tool has a REST endpoint. An API call for this tool costs 10 credits per file; browser use stays free. See the Plans & pricing page for plans and the API page for the endpoint list.
